Terms & Conditions for Musicy

Effective Date: October 4, 2026

By downloading or using the Musicy mobile application ("Musicy", "the app"), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Intellectual Property and Use of the App

You may not copy, modify, or attempt to extract the source code of Musicy, or any part of it, in any way. You may not use the app, its name, or its logo for commercial purposes without permission.

2. YouTube Terms of Service

Musicy uses YouTube API Services to power its search and playback features. By using Musicy, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms). Content available through YouTube belongs to its respective owners, and Musicy does not claim any ownership of it.

3. Your Content

You are responsible for the music files you import into Musicy from your device, and you confirm that you have the right to use them. Imported files are stored only on your device.

Important: if you delete Musicy from your device, iOS permanently removes all imported files, playlists and settings. Musicy cannot recover this data, so please keep your original files.

4. Free App, Advertising and Musicy+

Musicy is a free app supported by advertising (provided by Unity Ads). By using the free version of the app, you agree that ads may be shown, including banner ads, full-screen ads and optional rewarded video ads.

Some optional features — such as the Gradient and Solid themes — can be unlocked for a limited time (currently 7 days) by choosing to watch a rewarded video. The availability of ads and rewards is not guaranteed, and the reward period may change in future versions.

You can also choose to subscribe to Musicy+, an optional paid subscription that removes all ads from the app (see Section 5). Musicy+ is never required to use the app.

No charges will ever be applied for Musicy's services without making it completely clear what the payment is for.

5. Musicy+ Subscription

Musicy+ is an optional auto-renewable subscription, offered as a monthly or a yearly plan. The current price and billing period of each plan are shown in the app before you subscribe.

  • What is included: while your subscription is active, Musicy does not show any ads (banner, full-screen or rewarded), and the Gradient and Solid themes are available without watching ads.
  • YouTube content stays free: searching for and playing YouTube videos is free for all users. Musicy+ does not sell, unlock or provide access to any YouTube content.
  • Payment: payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. All payments are processed by Apple.
  • Automatic renewal: your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (month or year) at the same price, unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Managing and cancelling: you can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple ID account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions), or from the Musicy+ screen in the app. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep Musicy+ until the end of the period you have already paid for.
  • Refunds: refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies. You can request a refund at https://reportaproblem.apple.com.
  • Price changes: we may change subscription prices in the future. Apple will notify you in advance, and where required by law or by Apple, you will be asked to agree to the new price before it applies.
  • Restoring purchases: if you reinstall Musicy or use a new device with the same Apple ID, you can restore your subscription with the "Restore Purchases" button on the Musicy+ screen.

6. Changes to the App

We may update, change, suspend or discontinue any part of Musicy at any time, including its features and the content available through it.

7. Internet Connection

Some features of Musicy, such as search, streaming and ads, require an active internet connection (Wi-Fi or mobile data). Musicy is not responsible if the app does not work at full functionality because you do not have internet access or have run out of data. Your mobile carrier's charges may apply.

8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Musicy is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Musicy is not liable for any indirect or incidental damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app or from third-party services (such as YouTube or Unity Ads).

9. Apple App Store

These Terms apply together with Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. Apple is not responsible for Musicy or its content.

In-app purchases, including the Musicy+ subscription, are also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/.

10. Privacy

Your use of Musicy is also governed by our Privacy Policy: https://musicy-app.pages.dev/privacy.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Changes take effect as soon as they are posted on this page, and the "Effective Date" above will be updated. Please review this page periodically.
